This UPD production Road version was ordered in late January 1966 and delivered in September 1966 to their Sales Agents in Cleveland, USA. Originally painted Bahama Yellow and fitted with a Janspeed Engineering 1275cc Cooper 'S' engine/gearbox, Steel wheels, Adjustable Shock absorbers, Sunroof, Roll Cage and uniquely, demountable side window frames. The car was the sold to a Performance Car tuning company in the USA. The car was then sold to an owner in Japan in 1987, before being sold again to its current Japanese owner in around 2018. In its current ownership the car has undergone a complete ground-up restoration, being repainted in White and now fitted with a 998cc Cooper engine/gearbox with the benefit of a small Air-dam fitted.
