Another Unipower Competition GT is progressing well in restoration over in the USA

One of our long time members has three Unipower GT's, one of which is a customer Competition GT version, which was bought many years ago in need of restoration. The car was from new, flown out to the USA by Pan Am Airways to take part in Group 6 races driven by Paul Richards ex-Abarth driver back in 1967.

Its current owner, Dan, decided to focus his restoration efforts on this car first and as can be seen in the attached photos, is looking great in its fresh yellow paint.

More on this as the restoration progresses further.

Gerry

Thanks to Dan for the photos.

I'll be 'watching' the progress. Looks excellent (but I couldn't even 'paint by numbers' so I am easily impressed). 🙂 I would think that will create a stir when running, so bright & sharp finish.

Really good to see. Looks like a really nice paint job. Another genuine ex factory racer seeing the light of day after years of hibernation. Well done Dan!
