I am delighted to say that a car I have known for many years, has very recently been sold on by a car dealer in Belgium and is now to reside in Denmark.
The reason I know this car so well is that I used to maintain it for its then owner some 50-years ago, the well know Alternative motoring publicist, Peter Filby, when we both lived in the South of England and these cars were very desirable amongst the many low volume sports cars of the time. This was amongst a number of other project builds I did for Peter in connection with his magazines, including the Aston Martin designer, William Towns', Hustler 6-wheel Mini powered design.
Subsequently, I assisted new owners over the years with their exploits in the car, and also, when the car was converted by its then owner, from road to race to compete in Sprints and Hill climbs.
That is all for now, but its new owner has some exciting plans for his latest acquisition, more on which as it develops and with its owners permission.
